YPS Annual General Meeting

The old committee headed by Mr. Praveen Kumar, held the AGM at the new YPS premises on April 10, 2016. Nearly 30 members were present. The AGM was conducted by the President according to the Agenda published in the Notice for AGM. The AGM was not attended by the Secretary, the Treasurer. Only six committee members were present at the AGM. Here is a summary of the proceedings of AGM:

1) The minutes of the previous AGM and the Secretary’s Report could not be approved as the Secretary was not available to present them. The President informed that he had made several requests to Mr. Harinarayana to attend the meeting and present the minutes and the report. The President assured that the Report of the previous AGM will be made available by May 15^th.

2) The members brought up the discussion of the Account of YPS from 2010 till 2016. The President informed that The Treasurer, Sr. Ramachandra Rao, has not completed the accounts due to poor health and non-submission of details by other committee members. It was informed that the Treasurer had assured other senior members present in the AGM to provide the final Accounts on April 30, 2016.

3) Elections were held for new committee for 2016 and 2018 by Mr. Prasanna Gubbi Venkatesh as Retuning officer. The Returning Officer mentioned that only 3 Nominations were received and all of them after the last date due to change of address. Under the circumstances, some of the senior member proposed Mr. H Satish as the new President of YPS with freedom to select his own committee. The members at the General Body unanimously agreed to the proposal. After consultations, Mr. H Satish came up with a new committee and the Returning Officer announced appointment of the new committee.
