YPS Newsletter February 2017

From Editor’s Desk

The New Year 2017 brought to us interesting activities at YPS. We began with the eventful Annual YPS Day Celebration which featured an inspiring presentation by Shri. Jayanth Sharma apart from presentation of mementos to YPS members who achieved International distinctions.

At YPS, we have plans of celebrating women power in photography. We intend to showcase the photo works of women photographers. We have already shortlisted some very creative photographers whose achievements will surprise YPS. Moreover, YPS will have a lot of changes that are intended to make the programs more meaningful. In this regard, I request you to be ready with your portfolio of photographs as your number is in the line!

Apologies for the delay in this month’s newsletter, which were due to some personal commitments. Some of the workshops we had planned earlier, had to be cancelled due to poor/no response from the members. In this regard, please send us your feedback. Your views will help us organize future workshops that matter to members. You can also indicate the expected cost and if you have specific personalities in mind or type of photography subjects. Please note that we want to align YPS activities as per the needs of its members. Send your views to ypsbengaluru@gmail.com.

Workshops

Feb 27 – Mar 2 : Wildlife Workshop at Bandipur

As winter is drawing to a close, many of the water holes in Bandipur dry up forcing animals stay close to man-made waterholes. This increases the chances of sightings of wild animals. Keeping this in mind, YPS has planned a 4-Day Workshop FOR YPS MEMBERS at Ranganathittu & Bandipur from Feb 27 to March 2 (Monday to Thursday). Please wee the event Bandipur Calling for more details.
