Karnataka Tourism Contest Sep 2017 – Protected Monuments

The Sep 2017 Karnataka Tourism Photo Contest was held under the theme of “Protected Monuments”. Karnataka had been the center of power for many kingdoms. Many of them had maintained their capitals in Karnataka leading to a rich collection of monuments of different architecture. Some examples of the capitals are Hampi, Badami, Mysore, Talakkad and Chitradurga. Some of them like Aihole date back to the beginning of the rise of India as a country rich in architecture. The Oct 2017 Karnataka Tourism Photo Contest was held under the theme of “Fairs and Festivals”.  There is an array of colorful celebrations associated with Karnataka and its people. These fairs and festivals in Karnataka are a reflection of the variety and the colorful heritage of this enchanting state of South India. All these fairs and festivals of Karnataka hold a special significance with the people of the state as these create premises for social interaction and togetherness. Kannada Rajyotsava Celebrated

YPS Event | Nov 25 | State Youth Centre

On November 25th, 2017, YPS celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava at the YPS Hall at the State Youth Centre, Nrupathunga Road. Around 20 members participated in the function.

The event started with lighting of the lamp followed by invocation song by Smt.Subhadra N. Mr. Chandrasekar, Treasurer, YPS led the function. This was followed by sharing of pictures on Karnataka by members.

YPS thanks all the 20+ members who had assembled to celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava.
