Wildlife Week Oct 2 – Oct 8, 2020

YPS just concluded the Wildlife Week celebration for 2020. Despite the continuing pandemic situation, the spirits of Wildlife enthusiasts were kept by the excellent presentations on wildlife every day from October 2nd to October 8th. Over 200 photographers, members, supporters and non-members attended the webinars broadcasted through Facebook Live and Youtube Live.

The enthusiasts were presented with visual treats day-after-day as the presenters, Mrs. Rathika Ramasamy, Mr. Mohan Thomas, Mr. Yashpal Rathore, Mr. Avinash Khemka, Mr. Girish Gowda, Mr. Sachin Rai and Mr. Praveen Purohit took us through an unimaginable collection of wildlife images from India to South Africa, from Kabini to Himalayas, from minute insects to wildest landscapes and from tiniest of spiders to largest of elephants. They all upheld the spirit of wildlife week by demonstrating their love wildlife apart from guiding the viewers to look at photography from fresh perspectives.

Wildlife Week Contest

YPS Members had a double treat by having an opportunity to participate in the Wildlife Contest. 9 winners, 3 from each Animals, Birds and Macro category won prizes and certificates. The winners were selected by 9 jury members working with Mr. Satish, President, YPS.
