On April 7th, we saw a great display of nuances of Fashion Photography explained by the young, and bearded, Shri. Preetham Hosamane. Even though he is young, there were many lessons in composition, lighting and colors that even senior photographers can take back.
We know that Nature is beautiful. But coming from Shri. Mahesh reddy’s camera they naturally looked more beautiful. Such a display of colors, details and variety extending over 150 pictures. YPS Executive Committee and the YPS International Salon 2018 Committee are pleased to announce opening of YPS International Salon 2018 for registration and uploads. As in the past YPS Members can login using the Member ID and password. We encourage members to join early and take advantage of concessional early bird rates.
We had an excellent turnout at the Landscape Session by Shri. Goutham Ramesh. The participants had a chance to see some excellent images from Goutham taken at Munnar, Valparai and at Kausani, Uttarakand. The slideshow was followed by some interactive discussions on techniques, post-processing and equipment used for Landscape Photography.
We had a very interesting and informative session at YPS this Saturday with Shri. K S Rajaram taking the participants through an enticing journey back in time to the days when pictures were taken using cameras with an 8×6 inch glass plate as film at the back and mounted on wooden tripods. He navigated through timeless Black & White pictures of the American Landscape Photographer Ansel Adams and the Canadian Portrait Photographer Yusuf Karsh.
