YPS members had a chance to see another fabulous presentation by the young YPS member Mr. Arjun Haarith. Around 60 people participated in the program. Even as the excitement from the World Photography Day Celebration and Exhibition was dying YPS announced the programs for September and also Portrait Workshop for October. The first YPS Meet for September was held in the YPS Hall on September 3rd with a slide show and talk on Travel Photography by Murali Santhanam, Director, YPS based on his trips to Russia. Youth Photographic Society Bengaluru organized a Two-Day Exhibition of Landscape and Cityscape Pictures of Members on August 20 & 21 at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath. The Exhibition was organized to celebrate World Photography Day which fell on August 19th. 112 Pictures from 35 members were on display at the exhibition. More than 250 art lovers visited the Exhibition during the two days.

The YPS Meet on August 6 was led by Mr. B V Prakash, YPS Member and Himalayan Trekker. The YPS Meet was attended by over 30 people. Mr. B V Prakash was a Camp Leader under the Himalayan Trekking Program in Himachal for a month under Youth Hostels Association of India (yhaindia.org). YPS Members yet again demonstrated that Photography, the interest that keeps them ticking, brushes aside all other hurdles. It looked like the Member Photo Appreciation program – sharing and learning from members’ pictures – will have no or thin participation due to Karnataka Bandh and the inclement weather that shadowed the evening on July 30th, Saturday.
