A Peek Into Contemporary Visual Art Practices
May 5 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm UTC+5.5
YPS Meet | May 5, Sun | 6:30 PM | State Youth Centre
Our next YPS Meet is an illustrated talk by Mr. Giridhar Khasnis who will present a set of international artists (including photographers) whose practice is as varied as it is exciting. In the process of the talk, several questions would be raised: What is contemporary art? Who is a contemporary artist? How does a contemporary artist look at life and respond to it? How difficult/easy is it for a common viewer to understand, appreciate and experience contemporary art practices?
Mr. Khasnis would also present a glimpse of his own photographic practice as also a brief introduction to his ongoing solo exhibition in Bangalore titled ‘Of Silence, solitude & slow time’.
