Earth and Sky Photography Workshop

YPS Workshop | May 3 & 4 | Shettihalli Church

YPS proudly announces its 1st Sky Photo Workshop – at Shettihalli. The facilitators of the workshop are well experienced in the field. The lead facilitator is Arjun Haarith. The workshop is a good platform for learning as well as produce spectacular results. Images from this workshop will be worth exhibiting.

Participants will bring and use their own equipment viz. Digital SLR Camera and a Sturdy Tripod. The church at Shettihalli is very conducive for night landscape photography. Participants will be shooting Night Landscapes (single images), Star Trails (multiple images) and the church at sunset and night. Full support will be provided for pre-workshop tutorials, training and troubleshooting at the venue and  post production.

Online Discussions: Discussions through WhatsApp Group are the forte of our workshop. You will be thoroughly familiarised with the equipment before you reach the site. The discussions will start with as soon as the registrations are full and continue two months after the trip for processing your images.

d. Plan – Time Table
    • Start from  YPS by 1:30 pm.
    • Tea break en route
    • Destination arrival 6pm
    • Shoot at sunset, night scape,  star trails and milyway through the night.
    • Packed dinner on site.
    • Wrapping up: Around 4 am.
    • Freshen up and breakfast at Hassan
    • Proceed to shoot at Belavaadi and Mosale temples.
    • Return to Bangalore with lunch en route.
Transportation details will be shared with the participants.

Fees & Registration
  • Limited Registrations: 15 only
  • Workshop Fee for YPS members is Rs. 3000/- per person. Participant must be logged-in to register as a member.
  • Workshop Fee for Non-members is Rs. 3500/- per person. Click here to become a YPS Member.
  • Workshop Fee includes packed dinner, refreshments during breaks, breakfast and lunch.
  • Cancellation is not permitted.

About Mr. H Satish, MFIAP,MICS, ARPS, FICS, cMOL, GPA.PESGSPC,  Hon.FICS, Hon.YPS, Hon. PESGSPC, Hon. ECPA, Hon.CPE

H SatishThe art of playing with light and presenting things ordinary in extraordinary perspective, the portrayal of nature in its finest detail, and to capture the various human emotions in all its glory is what distinguishes Satish. The urge to play is but natural to any child, but to play with light and bring forth beautiful images at the age of 12 is sheer prodigy. It is this gift of nature that made him take up cinematography in his academic stint. It was during his graduation that he started to capture nature in all its glory, naturally  flowed appreciation and awards in both nature and pictorial sections of photography contests the world over.
He is the first Indian to be honored with EFIAP and MFIAP in Nature color prints; one of the highest honors in the photographic world.
He is the first Indianto get Two Masters from world bodies of photography in Nature photography.
He served as Secretary and Vice president in Youth photographic society, which is the premier photography clubs in India.  For 37 years, he is the member of the club and currently he is the Presidentof Youth Photographic society of Bangalore.
The Karnataka Lalith kala academy has given him the title – “State Artist“ award also!

About Mr. Arjun Haarith

Arjun Haarith is a Software professional employed in Adobe, hired to work on Lightroom development and testing based on his special knowledge of photography and software.

Coming from a family of photographers, Arjun Haarith had his interest in photography raised in early age. He had been going out regularly with Satish and has developed keen skills in photography in the process. While he started as a Nature photographer, he found his rhythm in travel photography that goes with his keen interest to see places and also document the trips in well written blogs. His Blog site http://arjunhaarith.blogspot.in/ has over 40 blogs containing excellent descriptions of the place, hints on stay, places to see and very well made travel photographs.
