Mr. Vimal Parmar

Mr. Vimal Parmar is a marketing consultant with over 36 years’ experience in the imaging industry in various functions ranging from Technical support, Sales & Marketing, Product Management at Regional and National levels.  He has worked on a diverse range of B2B and B2C products, such as photographic equipment and consumables; graphic art material; medical imaging films & chemicals; inkjet, coated and business papers to name a few. He has a special interest in concept marketing.  Apart from photography, he is also passionate about printing photographs. Further, he played a key role in helping launch the following products in India:

• Resin coated sensitized B&W photo papers
• Chlorobromide and Multigrade B&W photo papers
• Photo-typesetting paper
• Instant ID photo-lab with reversal paper
• Inkjet media
• Medical inkjet film
• Offset inks with an extended colour gamut
• Non-tear colour laser media

 Mr. Parmar has worked with prestigious firms such as Vakil & Sons, Agfa Gevaert India Limited / Allied Photographics India Limited and TechNova Imaging Systems (P) Limited who have been our partners in many of our salon exhibitions. He retired last October but currently is associated with them as a consultant.

• Mr. Parmar curated and moderated a panel discussion at The NCPA, Piramal Art Gallery along with a group exhibition in Nov 2018
• He was Featured in Smart Photography, Classic Imaging magazine and Print Week India
• Has been  on the Jury Panel for Better Photography Wedding Photographer of the Year 2014-15
• Was the Jury for Smart Photography Award 2016 – The Most Prestigious Camera of the Year
• Was on the Jury Panel of Shutterbugs Creative Forum. A Dubai based photography group.
• Has delivered Talks on digital substrates and printing technology at various forums

Mr Parmar has donated 200+ photographs which are on display in patient rooms and wards of a hospital in Mumbai.
