YPS is pleased to announce a workshop on post-processing of images using Adobe Photoshop.The Workshop will be facilitated by Shri. A G Lakshminarayan, Photoshop Expert, Trainer, Digital Creation Specialist and Salon Judge.
This is a participatory Workshop in which the participants will be using Photoshop to post-process some stock images and also their own images under the guidance of the instructor.
Participants will be required to bring their own laptops with Adobe Photoshop installed. The session will be taught using Adobe CC. Participants would benefit the best if they use this version. Older versions till Adobe Photoshop CS6 should be OK.
Workshop Details
The Workshop aims to cover the most important steps to “Get your pictures right”. This means that you can add life to your pictures by fixing common image issues created while shooting. The following First Steps will be covered in this workshop:
- Correcting the Exposure – Determining the right exposure and adjusting brightness & contrast
- Fixing Color – Fixing color casts and get the best colors out of your pictures
- Normalizing Zones – Adjust shadows and highlights for a pleasing image quality
- Fixing Common Lens Aberrations – Lenses add multiple aberrations to the picture like Chromatic Aberrations
- Finishing the Image – Finish the image for a specific use through resizing, sharpening and reduction of noise
- Applying Selective Corrections – Understanding Selection methods offered by Photoshop
- Introduction to Layers (if time permits)
Workshop Fees
The Workshop will be limited to 25 participants to provide enough time for discussions and spend quality instructor time. Registration will be on first-come-first-served basis and will close as soon as we reach enough participants. As mentioned earlier, this is a participatory workshop in which participants will be required to perform post-processing on images during the workshop.
- Workshop Fee for Members of YPS – Rs. 2500/-
- Workshop Fee for Non-Members – Rs. 3000/- (Click to become a member)
The fee includes Coffee/Tea and Lunch. Suitable arrangement to plug-in the laptops will be provided.
The fee does not include the following that the participants need to bring:
- Laptop & its accessories
- Photoshop or any other software
Cancellation of Registration
Cancellation of Registration is permitted till September 5, 2018. The Cancellation Fee till this date will be 50% of the fees paid. Cancellation beyond this date will not be entertained and no refunds will be provided.

About Shri A G Lakshminarayan
Mr. A.G.Lakshminarayan started his photographic journey in 1972 and learnt photography from the world famous pictorial photographer late Dr. D.V.Rao. He is a specialist in creative photography, macro and bird photography. A specialist in photoshop, he has conducted many digital post processing workshops for beginners and advanced photographers.
He concentrated only in creative section of international salons and got 66 awards and over 500 acceptances. His works were exhibited all over the world. He had been a judge in many Salons and contributed articles to many reputed Kannada magazines.
