Artists line the sidewalks with works that speak of emotion\, struggle\, and imagination\, while the crowd itself becomes part of the art—each face\, gesture\, and conversation a frame within the unfolding story of the city’s creative heartbeat. For street photographers\, this is not just an event but a playground of expression—where light dances on paint strokes and life blends seamlessly with art. Join our photo walk to witness and capture this fleeting confluence of artistic energy and street life\, and to see Bengaluru’s vibrant soul through your own lens. \n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Bring For street photography at Chitra Sante\, simple\, light\, and unobtrusive gear works best in the dense\, busy environment. A compact mirrorless or DSLR body\, or even a capable smartphone\, is usually sufficient\, as the real opportunity lies in how quickly and intuitively you can respond to scenes in the crowd. A fast prime lens in the 28\, 35 or 50 mm range is ideal for working close\, capturing both artists and their environment while remaining discreet without standing too far away. Since the santhe is typically a long walk along Kumara Krupa Road with thousands of visitors and stalls\, carrying one or two small lenses instead of a heavy zoom is recommended. Because you will be on your feet for several hours please also bring\, a comfortable\, lightweight bag\, extra battery\, a couple of memory cards\, a pair of good walking shoes and a lot of positive attitude! Who Can Attend Anyone who feels drawn to stories\, people\, and the quiet poetry of everyday life will find something at Chitra Sante’s street photography walk. This is perfect for beginners who want a gentle\, introduction to shooting in a dynamic\, crowded environment or a experienced photographers who wishes to capture gestures\, and visual rhythms in a space filled with art and emotion. It suits photographers who enjoy observing human interactions\, colours\, and ones who are curious about approaching strangers and building confidence in candid work.  Review Sessions After the Chitra Santhe photo walk\, participants will be invited to a reflective review session during one of the YPS talks in February\, where selected images from the walk will be shared\, discussed\, and constructively critiqued. The focus will be on storytelling\, use of light\, and how effectively each photograph captures the energy and emotion of the santhe. This session will be an open\, supportive space where photographers of all levels can learn from each other’s work\, understand different ways of seeing the same scene\, and take away practical insights to refine their personal street photography style.
