Since then\, it has been a journey of mixed emotions and will continue until 2028. SUMMARY:A Journey with the “Third Eye”...Where Stories Born
DESCRIPTION:YPS Meet | December 3\, Mon | 6:30 PM | State Youth Centre\nShooting images or creating images? Photography is an art where we not just shoot but we create an image! \nWe photographers pick our cameras to capture what is in front of us\, sometimes with little manipulations so as to avoid a straightforward photograph as a means of  “creating “ an image rather than simply recording it! The style of producing images where there is evidence of artistic interpretation of the subject matter by the photographer is Pictorial Photography. \nThe next YPS Meet is a slideshow by an eminent pictorial photographer Sri. Nagendra Muthmurdu – A Journey With the “Third Eye”…where stories born! \n \nAbout Sri. Nagendra Muthmurdu \n \nSri. Nagendra Muthmurdu is a self-styled pictorial photographer with many distinctions to his credit. Coming from an agricultural background\, Mr. Muthmurudu’s pictures show the beautiful life in the villages of Karnataka. Many of his models have been local children. He has the unique distinction of working on a single picture over 11 years. This picture of children playing in water was perfected by him over many years. He still has many ideas on this simple and elegant pictorial scene. He is also one of the jury members for the YPS 36th All India Salon 2018! \nDuring his career extending over 18 years\, he had won over 10 International Awards\, 20 National Awards and 800+ exhibits in India and in 25 countries abroad. He earned his first distinction\, AFIAP\, in 2011 and achieved EFIAP in 2017. He also achieved FFIP in the same year. SUMMARY:TRAVEL PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY - A Slideshow by Mr. Russell Dmello
DESCRIPTION:YPS Meet | November 17\, Sat | 6:30 PM | State Youth Centre\nWe all love to travel and we all love to take portraits. How about taking portraits while you travel? Photographing people you don’t know can be a very challenging and a different experience all together. \nThe next YPS meet is a slideshow by Russell Dmello on “Travel Portrait Photography”. \n \nMr. Russell Dmello \nRussell Dmello is a wedding and travel portrait photographer by profession. Earlier based in Dubai\, now in Bengaluru to pursue his passion towards photography. Russell is the co-founder of Photowalk Bengaluru\, one of the popular photography clubs in Bengaluru with a member base of over 4000 members. \nRussell says –\n“I loves travel portraits. Not only do they test your photography skills but also challenge you to interact with people in unfamiliar environments. The end result directly reflects your subject’s personality along with your ability to make them feel at ease\, read the light\, select optimal settings\, and compose a great shot.\n\nAs a photographer\, it’s up to you to develop your own code of ethics. The initial approach can often be the hardest part; taking the shot is comparatively easy. \nAim for a consensual\, mutually enjoyable exchange from which you can both walk away with a happy story to tell. Be open\, smile\, and pay people compliments. If it’s a firm no\, you can smile warmly\, tell them it’s absolutely fine\, and ask them if they would like to see photos you’ve taken of the local area. This way\, you can both still walk away having had a pleasant experience\, and sometimes\, they even change their mind. \nYour challenge now is to make your subject feel at ease. The best portraits come when people are relaxed and open to you. Most crucially\, don’t rush the photo\, say goodbye\, and walk away. Show genuine interest in their lives. Ask questions if you can speak a mutual language. If not\, remember that much of your intentions and warmth can be communicated through body language\, facial expressions\, and gestures.” \n\n  \nLet’s meet this Saturday at YPS to know more about the Travel Portrait Photography by Russell Dmello! \nYPS Executive Committee \n

DESCRIPTION:YPS Meet | November 3\, Sat | 6:30 PM | State Youth Centre\nWe as photographers\, always try to see things differently and shoot them in new ways\, in new angles\, to get a unique and different perspective. One such different and unique angle is Bird’s Eye View\, shooting from high-up! \nThe next YPS meet will be YPS Member’s presentation on the theme “Bird’s Eye View”\, an opportunity to showcase your aerial images shot from an aeroplane/helicopter/drone. \n \nWe all love to enjoy the view from the window when we are flying in an aeroplane or when we are in a ride on a helicopter. As we go higher and higher\, everything beneath us  seems to become smaller and smaller in size and the experience of watching those cityscapes\, spectacular landscapes\,  the city lights in night\, is so breath taking. What a wonderful treat it could be to a photographer\, only a photographer knows! \nIf you have experienced and captured some wonderful aerial  shots then get them(< 20 images) this Saturday 3 November\, 2018 to showcase them at YPS! \nYPS Executive Committee

SUMMARY:Break into Fashion Photography
DESCRIPTION:YPS Meet | April 7 | 6:30 PM | State Youth Centre\nYPS has been hosting varied programs and this is no exception. We held a program on Astro Photography learning how to shoot stars and Milkyway. In this weeks program too you will see how to shoot stars of a different kind\, the high flying models in the Fashion World and learn what it takes to be successful in this exciting and rewarding world. Listening to someone who had very good successes in Fashion Photography and is still in twenties will be a great learning experience. \n \nPreetham Hosamane\, a charming young man still in his twenties\, is already making waves in the world of Fashion Photography. When you further learn that he had never touched a camera till his age of 22\, it makes you wonder how much one can achieve when you set your mind on something that is close to the heart. \nHis love for photography began when he was gifted a camera by his sister at the age of 22. Since then he had never stopped clicking. Completely ‘self-taught’ he learned everything he knew by just doing that – clicking. In his short career\, he has clicked some iconic portraits and photographed covers and campaigns for several influential celebrities and fashion houses. Over the years he had worked with some incredible people both in front of and behind the camera to create a portfolio which is mesmerizing. \nHe had recently launched his own firm called SUNBURSTT\, to take care of all the commercial assignments. By profession he is an Engineer in IT Sector. \nIn this young age he has found his strengths and understands the reasons behind his success\, which are: \n\nSuccess in Fashion Photography is all about visualizing images that connect with people across the continents\nKeys to success in the world of Fashion Photography are perseverance\, practice and patience.\nA sweet smile that communicates readiness\, confidence and bonding\n\nApart from Fashion Photography\, he also loves fast cars and bikes. \nGet ready to be swept away !

SUMMARY:Presenting your pictures
DESCRIPTION:YPS Meet | Jul 15 | 6:30 PM | State Youth Centre\nDodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships. – Ansel Adams \nFrom negative to print or from sensor to TIFF is a journey that can make or break pictures. Dark-room techniques and Post-processing techniques were always used by great photographers to bring that life\, that difference into their pictures that made their good pictures look great. As mentioned by Ansel Adams we do not live in an ideal world where everything is “picture perfect”. Nor are we “Igors” pulling the switch to help cameras to take pictures. Photographers are artistic souls who have an idea about the end-result as they click an image. \n \nShri. Vijay Kumar Pattadakkall\, is gifted with an eye for details. He notices everything on the picture\, be that crumpled piece of paper on the ground or that small figure of a person out of place in the frame. He also knows how to take care of such anomalies in the picture and bring back that fine balance. It is no wonder that many leading photographers\, like Shri. TNA Perumal and Shri. M N Jayakumar\, had turned to Vijay to process their pictures for printing. Mr. Vijay had\, as a reciprocation of respect\, printed all the 50+ photographs of Shri. TNA Perumal that were displayed at Chitrakala Parishath during the YPS Tribute to TNA Perumal Contest and Exhibition held between April 28 and 30. \nShri. Vijay is also a keen nature photographer. On July 15th he will share some of pictures and also demonstrate post-processing techniques using Adobe Photoshop. \nHere are some of his images. \n \n

SUMMARY:How Close Can you Get
DESCRIPTION:YPS MEET | JUL 1 |  6:30 PM | State Youth Centre\nThere has been a big Macro Fever among the YPS Members. With the rains and the macro season being in full swing\, the team has been making regular visits to the Macro Hot-Spots in and around Bengaluru. This is the right time to get closer and enhance details.  That would be the focus of the next session. \n \nThere are many approaches to macro photography and plenty of techniques to enhance the details. All of them require the photographer to get closer to the subject\, we call it kissing distance. One of the new finds in the Macro group is Mr. Hayath Mohammad\, who has his unique way of capturing insects in closer range. We have been seeing him hopping around JP Nagar Forest and coming up with pictures having unimaginable amount of details. He has agreed to share his secrets with YPS team.  Do not miss the opportunity to learn. \nHayath Mohammed is a Technical Architect from IT Industry by profession and a nature enthusiast by passion. He grew up in the developing Bangalore and yet had access to some fabulous places rich in Flora and Fauna. Most of his summer holidays during childhood were spent chasing butterflies\, exploring various kinds of insects. The chase is still in progress. A keen interest in native fish of our land\, has helped document new species for describing.  He is Interested in all genres of photography. Nature photography\, especially Macro has been his passion for many years. He enjoys showcasing beauty that the naked eyes cannot see. \nHere are some of his pictures.

DESCRIPTION:YPS Meet | May 20 | Sat 6:30 PM | State Youth Centre\nThe Western Ghats is the soul of Karnataka. It requires serious efforts to understand and appreciate what lies in the heart of Western Ghats. Discover stunning places and appreciate great views of Western Ghats with Mr. Uday Hegde. \nMr. Uday Hegde\n \n“Hailing from a small village in the heart of Western Ghats in Karnataka\, my mind and soul was always close to beautiful flora and fauna of Mother Nature. But I was able to capture its essence only from few years back when I got my first camera. Photographing insect world  and Landscapes gives me more satisfaction than any other subject. \nEmployed now with an IT major\, I make it a point to travel all over India in search of natural beauty\, whenever time permits. As for my family\, I live in Bangalore with my wife and 5 year old son. My parents are back at my village near Sirsi.”
