In preparation for the photo walk\, Dr Kulkarni will guide participants through various aspects of street photography so as to capture the best photographs of the annual event. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe presentation and talk will cover: Understanding Key Terminologies in Street Photography:Invisible Shooting: A technique where the photographer blends into the background\, capturing natural\, unposed moments without drawing attention.\n\nFishing / Hunting Technique.\n\nGround to Figure Ratio:.\n\nAnticipation: The ability to predict what will happen next in a scene Working the Scene: Moving around\, exploring various angles\, and adjusting the composition to make the best picture from a given situation.Gears Important for Making Pictures: While street photography emphasizes technique and anticipation\, the gear you use can still make a difference. Here are some options:Cameras:Mirrorless or DSLR cameras with silent shutters are ideal for street photography as they are discreet and provide great image quality. Lenses like 35mm or 50mm prime lenses are popular for their versatility and ability to capture dynamic scenes in low light.\n\nMobile Phones:Modern smartphones are increasingly used for street photography. Their portability\, ease of use\, and discrete nature make them perfect for capturing candid moments..Who Should Attend?
