SUMMARY:An Introduction To Street Photography
DESCRIPTION:YPS Special Interest Group | May 28\, Sun | 10:00 AM IST | S3 E5| Google Meet\nMr Subash Rao will start with a short presentation that will introduce the audience to the genre of street photography. The presentation will cover a short history of the genre and bust misconceptions about it. It will also aim to show through images of the great practitioners the width and breadth of this art form. The presentation will be followed by Q&A. \n \nAbout the Speaker: \nMr Subash Rao\nSubash Chandra Rao has been a practising travel\, street photographer and photo educator. He started his photography journey in the year 2002. He has also been a professor for over a decade in various universities and colleges and has taught photography at the Post Graduate level. He says “I have always been a traveller\, adventurer\, and experience junkie. I began taking photos in college because I wanted to record and share my explorations. Now I go on adventures with the main purpose of taking photos. When I’m not creating\, I enjoy teaching and sharing.” \n For him\, it has been a dream to be able to combine photography with teaching. In addition\, he also teaches Post Processing in Lightroom & Photoshop (Beginners and advanced levels)\, leads workshops and gives presentations across universities and colleges.  \nSubash says “Photography has provided me with some wonderful opportunities. At the top of the list is being a member of the premiere photography club Youth Photographic Society\, Bengaluru.  These talented folks are my travel companions’ close friends and constant inspiration.” \nHe has taken a lot of photos over the years.
