SUMMARY:Pictures Brighten Lives...
DESCRIPTION:YPS Meet | Oct 05\, Sat | 6:30 PM | YPS Hall\n‘VISMAYA‘ which translates to ‘AMAZEMENT’ & ‘AWE’ is exactly what you feel when you see their presentation called –  “Pictures brighten lives…..”\nVismaya group is a closely knit team consisting of 8 photo enthusiasts: Amar Bhaskar\, Murali Santhanam\, Sisir Kumar\, Venugopal Thantry\, Vinod Balan\, Goutham Ramesh\, Harish Rao & Sridhar Thantry.\nThey share a common vision of using photography to lend a helping hand to the needy.\nWith their theme “Photography for Cause” they bring  together the dream to nurture  talent and the intent to support social cause.  Their mission is to generate financial contributions to organizations committed to serve human cause. \n \nThey say “Every year we photographers churn out a large number of pictures\, many of which end up in social web and just occupy space on hard drive. Some of them find space on our walls and many more get exhibited around the world to earn us titles. Pictures can do a lot more than that if they find their way to other’s walls! ” \nThe Vismaya team will share – \n🔸How these exhibitions shaped  their photography and outlook on pictures they clicked. \n🔸Their experiments with different techniques used to make the images reach the donors. \n🔸Their experience working with multiple social organisations \n🔸Their learnings from motivating general public to donate. \n🔸How the team learns photography as a group. \n🔸The team will also display their pictures that have contributed to the success of their exhibitions. \nAbout the Speakers\nAmar Bhaskar\nA management executive by profession\, Amar’s passion for photography has driven him to capture precious moments in time. Watching nature through the lens has been his most thrilling and satisfying experience. Apart from nature\, he has been actively pursuing and clicking images of ancient architecture. When it comes to photography\, he is disciplined and critical about his work so that only the best of his pictures see the light. \nMurali Santhanam\nMurali Santhanam has retired from his career spanning Banking and Information Technology. Our lives would be very much poorer without these varied forms that build up the balance of nature. Wildlife preservation in fact implies active and planned wildlife management under which all forms of life would progress side by side with human progress\, each in its own sphere of influence and utility and without any detriment to human interests. In fact\, it is with this end in view that wildlife sanctuaries and national parks have been established and developed in suitable localities all over the country. \nIn order to arouse a general awakening in the common man in favour of protection of wildlife\, the Indian Board of Wild Life (IBWL) decided to observe the Wildlife Week and since then from October 2 – 8 every year organize different activities related to wildlife conservation to commemorate this week. \nEvery year around this time (October 2 to 8) governments\, environmentalists\, activists\, educators organize different activities to accelerate the awareness of wildlife conservation among people. India\, being a mega-storehouse of various species\, is also able to manage several conferences\, awareness programmes\, and public meetings among the nature lovers. Schools and educational institutions organize events such as wildlife related movie screening\, painting competition/essay writing/ debate competition for young children with wild life as the theme. \nBangalore has the largest community of Wildlife Photographers. To celebrate wildlife and its conservation\, YPS will be celebrating Wildlife Week with a function on 6 October 2018. \nYPS Executive Committee
