SUMMARY:YPS Saturday Online Meet-Cropping and Resizing
DESCRIPTION:YPS Saturday Online Meet | Oct 08\, Sat | 5:30 PM IST | S2 E5\nAll of us take a large number of images. We will discard some\, post-process some\, and finally prepare a few for showing to others. There are many ways we can do the latter. It could be through sharing on social sites\, displaying on an HDTV\, hanging prints on a wall\, making a photo book or preserving them in an album. We may also submit our images to salons and other competitions to test our mettle. Mr Ashok Kandimalla will explain how an image should be prepared for each of these\, which needs to be cropped and resized differently. \nUpdate on the Event\nYou can download the presentation using the link below: \n\n	Cropping and Resizing by Ashok Kandimalla	(1 download	)\n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker:   \nMr. Ashok Kandimalla \n  \nAshok Kandimalla has been in the field of photography for more than three decades and has extensive experience in both film and digital photography. As an electronics and computer engineer (he holds a degree in electronics from IIT Madras)\, he has a unique and deep insight into digital photographic technology. \nAshok has a passion for sharing his knowledge through teaching and writing. Starting from 2009\, Ashok has been authoring a series of articles under the title ‘Basics of Photography’ in the magazine – Smart Photography.  Many of his articles have also been published in the ‘Viewfinder’ which is the official journal of FIP.  He was also a co-editor for the FIP’s Sapphire Jubilee Viewfinder book. So far\, he has published more than 200 articles plus equipment reviews in various leading Indian photography magazines. \nAshok has also conducted more than 100 workshops and photography courses for several corporate customers (Honeywell\, Bank of America\, Infosys\, etc.) and UNESCO. Currently\, he conducts workshops and classes regularly at Mindscreen Film Institute (MFI)\, Chennai. He was the President of Telangana Photographic Society in 2018. He was also an invited speaker at the FIP Convention in Rajahmundry \nAshok has been interviewed and featured on the Nikon Japan Centenary website for his contributions to photography. With new roads opening up\, it has opened up a plethora of opportunities to visit places that could otherwise be accessible only by arduous and week-long treks. It has everything a photographer can wish for – landscapes\, portraits\, festivals and astrophotography opportunities.  \nIt is still quite untouched compared to the touristy Ladakh and is a must visit for anyone. Though the facilities are yet to be developed\, it is still worth visiting. \n\n  \nAbout the Author \nMr Saurabh A Chatterjee \nSaurabh is the Founder and Chief Educator at SIA Photography. His dream is to see India and to make every camera-owner a great photographer.
