DESCRIPTION:YPS Saturday Meet | Feb 01\, Sat | 5:30 PM IST | Liquid Drop Photography | Google Meet Presentation by:Mr Ananth Kamat\, EFIAP\, EFIP\, cMoL Liquid Drop photography is a genre of high speed photography to create colorful images of water droplets colliding to form interesting formations such as human figures\, mushrooms\, umbrellas and abstracts During this slideshow\, Ananth Kamat would be sharing his knowledge acquired over time to create stunning water droplet photographs \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Ananth Kamat Ananth Kamat is a Software Engineer by profession and based in Bengaluru. He has been a proud member of YPS since 2016 and passionate about Macro\, Travel and Still-Life photography. As an active participant in salons\, Ananth has won over 1850 acceptances and over 200 awards in national and international salons. His photographs have been exhibited in over 35 countries and has been honored with the coveted EFIAP\, EFIP and cMoL distinctions.  Ananth strongly believes in sharing his learnings and encourages others to pursue their passion for photography. He has conducted multiple sessions on ‘Basics of Photography’ at his workplace for photography enthusiasts. His presentation titled ‘Mundane to Magnificent’ at YPS Webinar\, and a subsequent featured article in Dṛṣṭi was loved by all YPS members. He was also a guest speaker at ‘Neralu Belaku’\, an online Kannada photography discussion forum\, and spoke about the nuances of travel photography which was loved by the attendees. Two years ago\, Ananth Kamat was inspired by the works of Mr Deep Bhatia and joined his online course on Basics of Droplet Photography and subsequently a course on Advanced Droplet Photography. DESCRIPTION:This practical shoot session is all about getting out of your comfort zone\, thinking differently and shooting creatively. There is no end to learning and experimenting. 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM – Shoot 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM – Discussion on images shot at the venue Shoot: Bring your camera\, flash\, tripod and any other gear to the venue. Get your creative juices flowing. Using the props present\, create out-of-the-box images.  Share: Project your image for all to see at the venue. Sync: Participate in a discussion on the images shared and get expert comments by an expert of course! If you’re new to photography\, don’t hesitate—grab your camera or mobile\, and we’ll help you get started! Mr Adit Agarwala\, with his expertise in this genre will take us thru the in-camera and post-camera process\, overcome problems\, mistakes and create striking surreal images\, in an interactive session. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Mr Adit Agarwala\,FRPS\, EFIAP/p\, Fellow.APU\, EFIP\, Hon.FIP\, Hon.YPS\, Hon.EFMPA\, Hon.PESGSPC\, GPA.PESGSPC\, Hon.GM.TPAS\, Hon.Fellow.DCC As an alumnus and honorary lecturer at the Photographic Association of Dum Dum (PAD) in Kolkata\, his expertise spans decades. He was a Member of the organizing committee of International Photographic Conferences by PAD\, Calcutta (1986 -1998). He is a co-author of 2 books ‘Learn Photography’ and ‘Experimental Photography’ published by PAD. He has been a jury in national and international salons since 1987\, a Chief Coordinator of Chandigarh FIP Convention\,1998 and organized the first Indo-Pakistan ‘DOSTI Photo Show’ in Chandigarh in 2004. He is the Founder President of ‘Friends of Photography’ Chandigarh (2000-2005) and a recipient of more than 150 awards (Gold\, Silver & Bronze medals)\, Honorary Mentions and cash awards from national and international salons and contests from India\, USA\, UK\, France\, China\, Taiwan\, Belgium\, South Africa\, Serbia\, Kenya\, Nicaragua\, Madagascar\, Singapore\, Malaysia\, Austria\, Holland\, Bangladesh\, Pakistan\, Romania\, Hungary\, Luxembourg and South Korea. He is a 4 times recipient of  ‘Best Indian Entrant Award’ in international salons held in India and the 1st Indian to be awarded the 1st prize at ‘Photojournalist of the year’ contest in 1989 sponsored by the Photographic Society of America. He was Honored as one of the six Indian Pictorialists by the Photographic Society of Pakistan and invited to contribute photographs to the Exhibition ‘Tribute to the Legends of Photography’ exhibition held in 2005 in Pakistan. Mr Agarwala’s photographic works were included in KKL-Bilderbank\, Austria / Germany (of top 25 Photographers) and published in a booklet of the State Lalit Kala Akademi\, Lucknow. He was interviewed by Doordarshan\, has conducted workshops in photography and has delivered talks on photographic art at various photographic associations. He was an advisor to ‘Tricity Photo Art Society’ Chandigarh (2015-2019)\, a Patron of Lens Maestro Group\, India\, associate editor of ‘Viewfinder’ (1997-2001) the official monthly journal of the Federation of Indian Photography\, the associate editor of Blue Sapphire\, a 2019 Coffee Table publication of FIP compiling various articles on photographic history\, arts and science. Mr Agarwala was a Member of the Working Committee of the Federation of Indian Photography (FIP) 2017-2018\, Vice President (2019-2020) and President of FIP 2021-2024.
