SUMMARY:YPS Saturday Meet – What is Photojournalism?
DESCRIPTION: YPS Saturday Meet | August 06\, Sat | 6:30 PM IST | State Youth Centre\nPhotojournalism\, a very popular genre in photography\, is the process of storytelling\, using the medium of photography as the main storytelling device. While a journalist uses a pen and paper to tell stories\, a photojournalist uses the camera to capture a visual representation of a story.  Naveen\, the founder of the international photography magazine\, ‘The Light Down’ will take us through the streets of Photojournalism.\n\n\n\nAbout the Presenter: Mr Naveen\nNaveen is a photographer who loves to capture the action on the street. He also loves making documentaries and black and white photography. He started his journey in 2017 and worked with India’s most respected news network\, the India Today Network for two years. He then gave up his job in 2019 and started his own organisation with the aim to create a platform for beginner photographers. Here are a list of protocols that the visitors must adhere to: \n\nPersons attending should follow the Covid Appropriate Behavior prescribed by the Govt. of Karnataka. This includes social distancing and wearing of mask.\nAll visitors must pass the Thermal screening test done by YPS at the entrance.\nWe may have to ask visitors to wait to limit the number of people at the venue within permitted numbers.\nWe will not be able to admit accompanying children below the age of 18.\nPersons visiting the hall must have completed both doses of vaccination.\nEvery visitor will also be asked to sign a Covid declaration before being admitted to the hall.\n\n-YPS Executive Committee
