Birds

YPS Wildlife Week | Wednesday, October 08 | 5:30 PM IST | Wildlife Photography | Google Meet

Presentation by: Praveen P Mohandas

“Birds are the harbingers of a new day, new season, changes and differences in
our immediate environment. To most of us, birds represent musical sounds and bewitching colours. As a photographer this seems to me a very shallow understanding of the avian world because we are distracted by mere superficial elements. There is more to birds than what appears on the surface – tales of strength, survival, energy and beauty. The presentation that you are about to see is an exploration of the captivating world of birds through black and white photographs, showcasing the beauty, texture, and contrast of birds in their natural environment highlighting their behaviour and interactions without the distraction of colour.”

About: Praveen P Mohandas

Praveen, a Fine Art Nature Photographer’s art is a fusion of his profession and passion. The images that he observes in the natural world, speak to him in a geometry of shapes, colours, light and textures. These elements transfigure into the concepts and narratives of his photographs. His art is his exploration of the deep connection that all living creatures including human beings have with one other and with their immediate environment. Moving beyond mere documentation, his endeavour is to invite the viewers to contemplate the myriad facets of the natural world.
