Namibia is a land of stark contrasts and raw, unfiltered beauty. From the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei to the haunting silence of the Skeleton Coast, it offers a landscape as ancient as time itself. Here, wildlife roams free across endless plains, and the night skies blaze with a million stars. A journey through Namibia is not just travel—it’s an immersion into nature’s most dramatic canvas, where every horizon tells a story of resilience, wonder, and awe.

About: Anantha Murthy

Anantha Murthy started photography in the year 2011 under the guidance of Sri. Suresh Basavaraju.
Ananatha Murthy has visited the following states for birding along with my home state of Karnataka- Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Orissa
He has also visited many countries for wildlife photography , like:
Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Kenya, Botswana, Zambia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru,Combodia, Vietnam and USA.
So far he has photographed over one thousand species of birds of the Indian Sub continent and about seven hundred species of birds around the world.
Wildlife has always fascinated him. It all started when he was just 8-years-old. His father had taken me to watch the movie, Hatari, a film completely based in Africa. Since then, it has been a dream – to visit Africa. Its wildlife got him first, photography happened much later.
Only after a wildlife trip with his friend, a photographer, he was intrigued by the art of photography. Though he was using a basic DSLR back then, a few moments in the forest with a camera is all it took to get him hooked for life. An avid birder today, he travels looking for specific species of birds across India and across the world. He has traveled extensively across the country except North east. A lot of his works have been published in NGC Traveller, and BNHS book of Birds of Maharashtra. Five bird images captured by him have been printed as greeting cards by BNHS for the year 2015. He has also won many National and International awards for his wildlife photography.
