About: Prof. Dr. Jitender Govindani

Prof. Dr. Jitender Govindani holds a PhD in Management and currently is the Dean of Academics and a professor teaching courses in Strategy and Marketing. Over the last 30 years, he has taught and coached over 6,500 students. A professor who received the ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award in the USA.

He says, “You can take my word for it that I agree with the adage – Anything that gets your blood racing is worth doing. I fell into the field of wildlife photography due to my passion for the subject. Having a perfect snap throw me into a state of pleasure is the only thing that could make me happy. The images I post online for the world to see are direct evidence of how seriously I take my passion as a wildlife photographer.”

A professor by work, but a wildlife photographer at heart, with over a decade of experience in the field, he likes to think of his camera as a kaleidoscope through which he may view and record fleeting, vibrant moments of nature that might otherwise be lost forever. He has held countless exhibitions of his wildlife photography, and every penny he has made has gone towards funding scholarships for disadvantaged youth.

He takes great pride in the fact that he has helped make Nine Coffee Table Books for various forest departments. Money from the book sales was used to support the families of foresters serving on the ground. He has written one coffee table book about the Bandhavgarh and Satpura tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh, one about the Pench tiger reserve in Maharashtra, One for Pilibhit Tiger Reserve – Uttar Pradesh, two for the Jim Corbett in Uttarakhand and two for the Kanha tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh .

Currently, his work for the 10th Coffee Table Book  and the third Coffee Table Book of  Corbett is in progress.
