Embark on a captivating 3-day street photography journey through Kolkata, the timeless “City of Joy.” From the vibrant chaos of Mullick Ghat Flower Market beneath the iconic Howrah Bridge to the riverside akharas where wrestlers practice traditional kushti, this tour immerses you in the city’s rich culture, energy, and human stories. We’ll explore the sacred Ghats of the Ganges, the colorful Pet Market, and the ever-dynamic New Market, offering endless opportunities to capture authentic moments, light, and emotion.

Our journey also takes us into Kumar Tuli, Kolkata’s historic potters’ quarter, where artisans craft stunning clay sculptures in narrow, atmospheric alleys. Along the way, we’ll document everyday life—from steaming cups of kulhad chai and vintage yellow taxis to serene riverfront scenes at dusk. More than a photography tour, this is an opportunity to refine your storytelling skills, develop your creative eye, and experience Kolkata’s unique soul alongside fellow photographers. Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Thursday, 26 November 2026: Arrival & Welcome Dinner

Our tour officially kicks off on Thursday evening with a welcome dinner, where we discuss the itinerary and gear up for our early-morning photo walk.

Day 2: Friday, 27 November 2026: Flowers, Ghats and Riverside dynamics

Day two begins at dawn along the Ganges, where we capture Kolkata as it awakens beneath the iconic Howrah Bridge. From the vibrant Mullick Ghat Flower Market to the bustling riverside ghats, we’ll photograph the city’s energy, color, and daily life. In the afternoon, we move to Baba Ghat and Prinsep Ghat to document commuters, street scenes, and the warm glow of sunset along the riverfront. The day concludes with a group photo review session and discussion over dinner.

Day 3: Saturday, 28 November 2026: Wrestlers, Wholesale Markets & Culture

Day three begins at the historic Siyaram Akhara, where we capture the intensity and tradition of an exclusive wrestling session along the banks of the Ganges. After breakfast, we head to the vibrant Mechua Fruit Market, photographing the colors, characters, and energy of daily trade. In the afternoon, we explore the literary heart of Kolkata around College Street, soaking in its unique atmosphere before enjoying a classic coffee at the iconic Indian Coffee House. The day concludes with a group photo review session and discussion over dinner.

Day 4: Sunday, 29 November 2026: Artisans, Pet Market & Departure

Our final day begins in Kumartuli, Kolkata’s famed artisan quarter, where we document sculptors at work and explore the narrow lanes that showcase the city’s rich cultural heritage. After lunch, we visit the vibrant Sunday Pet Market, capturing its unique characters, colorful scenes, and lively interactions. The tour concludes here! We return to the hotel to collect our luggage and bid farewell, taking home new friendships, experiences, and a memorable collection of images.
