I am a city person, having been born in Mumbai,. Lived in Pune and now calling Goa as home. Much of me is Urban. And within this Urban chaos, I look for the ‘pause’ – the.moments.of stillness and calm, the small nuances that make up our world, the things that make me wonder and be curious about, everyday but not so common instances that I suddenly discover-from unseen to seen, and knowing…thus bringing a childlike joy. I am always looking for the smaller details in the bigger picture, and find happiness in the ‘small things’. I look for a reason to smile, and to share that happiness with one and all … says Ms Darpana Athale, an architect and a visual artist based in Goa.

About The Speaker
Ms Darpana Athale
A graduate of Architecture from Mumbai University, Darpana is Director and Co-founder of Sarvasva Designs Pvt LTD. She is a traveller between worlds and weaves stories through Design, Photography, Urban Sketching & Poetry.
With a large repetoire of works in Architecture, Retail Design and Craft, Darpana has also been into Design Education for the last 20 years.
She has co-founded the Pune Design Festival, now in it’s 16th year, InKaa- a repository of Art, Crafts and Design of India and Urban Sketchers Goa.
She is also a member of The Photographic Society of Pune and part of the Working Committee.
She is currently on board the Education Committee, Goa Chambers of Commerce and Industry and National Executive Committee, Association of Designers of India.
