Every photographer has a bag-full of lenses that stay with them even when the bodies change. Some of them are favourites and stay on the body most of the time while others are rarely used. And all of us also have a longer wishlist of lenses that we want in the bag. This session will focus on how to understand the strengths and weakness of your lenses and how to use them to make the type of pictures one wants. A better understanding of the lens will also help the Photographer to make technically superior pictures. WORLD TOURISM DAY 2019 PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

Photo Contest | Last Date Sep 24 | Department of Tourism

Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka in association with Youth Photographic Society, is conducting a Digital Photography Contest to mark the World Tourism Day 2019. The contest is open to all photographers, whether amateurs or professionals or tourists, from India. Theme of the contest is Karnataka Heritage. Each Participant can post up to 4 photographs under each category. The winners will be selected by a jury of 3 judges. There is no Entry Fee. All the pictures must have been taken in Karnataka.

The contest is hosted by Youth Photographic Society (YPS) Bengaluru.

YPS Street Photography Team presents it’s 4th Photo Walk to Malleshwaram.

Idea: Idea of this initiative is to go on photo walks on different streets of Bengaluru, shoot together, share knowledge and have fun!

On this photo walk we will experience and capture the sights in and around Malleshwaram. It gives you an opportunity to do Street Images, Portraits and life scenes, patterns, colours, symmetry.
