Macro time of the year is back! YPS conducts its 4th macro workshop (2nd for 2024) at Hingara from August 30th to September 01st, 2024 (Departure on 29th night by bus from Bengaluru and return on 02nd morning)

This workshop is mentored by Mr H Satish. He will guide and teach innovative ways of photographing macro subjects both in daylight and flashlight. You will be under the best teacher to know both about nature and photography

Hingara is a small village with beautiful surroundings: waterfalls and paddy fields. It is a great place for adventure lovers and most importantly macro subjects. Hingara is very close to Agumbe, which is the heart of western ghats, hence one can find many species of insects, frogs, butterflies and snakes. The stay at Hingara is very pleasant with home cooked food and hospitable hosts
What to expect in terms of Photography
In Hingara we will be walking in the forest and streams in search of insects, butterflies, and snakes. We intend to photograph many species of insects during night making it a lifetime adventure for many. You are assured of a lot of macro subjects so come prepared with plenty of memory cards!

He is the first Indian to be honored with EFIAP and MFIAP in Nature color prints and the youngest Indian to get MFIAP. He is also the first Indian to get two master’s distinctions in the Nature section, from international photography bodies.
He has judged more than 35 international and 40 national salons. His pictures have graced all the guidebooks published by ‘Outlook traveler’ and ‘Today- Travel Plus’ magazines. He has contributed calendar spreads to WWF, BEML, BHEL, MICO, MCF and Canara Bank. Andhra Pradesh Photography Academy has published a book on his wildlife photographic journey. Till date, he has won 978 national and international awards. For his achievements, he has been conferred with the title of Karnataka’s State Artist – an award in the field of Art of Photography by Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy.
Itinerary
Participants will arrive at Hingara (direct bus from Bangalore to Hingara) on 9th morning and depart on 11th night (direct bus from Hingara to Bangalore). Photography starts right after arrival and freshening up and ends on Sep 1st evening.
Number of participants
Minimum 6, Maximum 10 members for best personalised teaching. Fees will be refunded if minimum 6 members do not sign up.
