Happy Mukherjee will be showcasing some of the vibrant and varied celebrations of festivals captured by her. Each image not only celebrates cultural diversity but tells a story, offering a glimpse into the diverse ways people honor their heritage and cultural traditions. Photography of festivals documents history, cultural diversity and personal experiences of unique moments, preserving memories and inspiring others to explore various festivals. Through compelling visuals, photography connects people across boundaries and promotes a deeper sense of global unity. Through visual expression, photography fosters understanding, evokes emotions, and connects people across different times and places, making it an essential tool for communication and creativity.
About the Presenter: Ms Happy Mukherjee
Happy Mukherjee is a professional freelance travel, people and documentary photographer , mentor and photojournalist from India. She worked as a Economics teacher for more than ten years, which she gave up to pursue full-fledged photography. She is also a judge at national photography competitions and is honored with prestigious distinctions EFIP, EFIAP. Her works have been awarded and exhibited in more than sixty countries and has been acknowledged sixteen times as the Best Female Photographer in different National and International Photography Competitions. She has won more than 450 awards
Her work was published in Chiiz magazine, Smart Photography, Viewfinder, Asian Photography Magazine, Travellers’ world, Outlook Traveller, Samakal, The Times newspaper(UK), Anandabazar, Bartaman Chatusparni, Ei-samay,Anandabahar, Marathi Newspaper(Pudhari) and many more. Her photograph has won Lalitkala National academy, Chhattisgarh Tourism Award, etc. My photo was selected as a finalist in Prestigious Siena Awards Contest , Mazaarat International Photo festival, World reportage award, Urban photo awards. I stood first in India and became the first Indian photographer to win 3rd place in EISA MAESTRO INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION. She won the prestigious FIAP BLUE PIN from Georgia and is a co-mentor of AH Photography Expedition and organizes different photographic tours and workshops.
