The Himalayan ranges are a favorite of photographers, especially Indians due to its proximity to our country. Nepal not only has 8 of the world’s 10 tallest mountains but also a rich royal heritage, culture and history.
This presentation will cover the regions from Kathmandu, to Chitwan in the south-west to Muktinath in the lower Mustang region in the north, including a trek along the river Gandaki.

As an artist at heart and having dabbled professionally in various forms of art such as Batik, Tanjore and Mysore paintings, Prema started her photography journey in 2015. Being an avid traveler her interest in photography includes various genres like pictorial, nature, wildlife, macro and travel. Photography to her is not only an extension of my art form, but goes much deeper as a meditative media.
Joining Youth Photographic Society in 2016 catapulted her passion and brought her the UP Lalit Kala Academy Award in 2017 for the Best Portfolio in Art Photography and in the same year, the Karnataka Tourism Award. She has won several awards from national and international salons which led to her many photography distinctions. Her works have been exhibited in more than 40 countries. She has also been a jury member in many national, international salons and competitions. Her pictures and articles have been published in several digital and print media.
She joined the Executive Committee of Youth Photographic Society in 2018 and presently serves as the Secretary. She received the YPS Service Award in 2020 and ESFIP from the Federation of Indian Photography in 2024.
