Shri K Praveen Nayak, born on 12 April 1962 in Mangalore, Karnataka, is an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter and photographer. He began his career in photography before moving into cinema, where he has worked actively since the late 1970s. The son of K. Krishna Nayak and K. Radha Nayak, he went on to make his mark in Kannada cinema with films such as Z (1999), Hoo Anthiya Uhoo Anthiya (2001), and Meese Chiguridaaga (2003). His more recent directorial ventures include Shankra and Love Jihad. In addition to feature films, he has directed short films like Twitter Loka, which explores the contrast between real and virtual life shaped by social media.

Beyond cinema, Praveen Nayak has made significant contributions as a writer, authoring acclaimed works on the legendary actor Dr. Rajkumar, including Rajkumar: Ondu BeLaku in Kannada, which won the Karnataka State Award for Best Book in 2012, and Rajkumar: A Journey with the Legend in English. He has also been active in television, having anchored programs on Doordarshan and directed as well as acted in the serial Shri Ramakrishna Parahamsa. With a career spanning several decades, K. Praveen Nayak continues to be a versatile creative force in Kannada media and cinema.

Sri R Chethan, an IPS Officer of the Karnataka cadre from the 2010 batch, has garnered widespread recognition for his unwavering integrity, diligence, and effectiveness in his duties. His professional journey has been marked by diverse experiences, having served as Superintendent of Police in districts such as Chikmagalur, Ballari, Davangere, and Mysuru. Additionally, he has held the position of Superintendent of Police for the Coastal Security Police and Superintendent of Police for Anti- Naxal Force, Karnataka. He held the position of Police Commissioner for Kalburgi. 

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Coorg Institute of Technology, Ponnampet, Kodagu and a Masters in Police Management from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He also holds a PGD in Cyber Law & Cyber forensic from National Law School of India University, Bengaluru.

Presently he is serving as Commissioner, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports.
