Seeing Beyond the Obvious is a reflective exploration of photography as a way of seeing in a time of visual abundance. Through a personal lens, the talk considers attention, repetition, restraint, and the quiet evolution that comes from slowing down and looking more deeply at familiar places. It touches on photography not as an act of accumulation, but as an ongoing process of perception—one shaped by patience, presence, and a willingness to engage with the medium beyond immediacy and spectacle

Ashwini Kumar Bhat is a nature and landscape photographer who has been exploring photography as a deeply personal form of expression for almost two decades. His work is guided by emotion and perception rather than spectacle, often finding meaning in familiar landscapes and natural elements. His images have been featured in national and international books and magazines. He was awarded Photographer of the Year by Nature in Focus in the past. He is a founding member of the photography collectives Creative Nature Photography and Landscape Wizards. He writes occasionally at sumasuta.blogspot.com.

- Do not interrupt during presentation. Type the questions in the chat box or keep a note of questions and ask them at the end when the moderator opens the floor for questions
- Keep your lines muted when not talking or asking questions
- Keep your questions and discussions brief and to the point
- If you cannot get the required answer in two discussions, take them offline with the panel member
