Nostalgia – journey from Analogue to Mirrorless

April 6 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm UTC+5.5

YPS Saturday Meet | Apr 06, Sat | 6:00 PM IST | State Youth Center

H Satish, the presenter of the program says that the present generation of lensmen may not have any knowledge of historical changes or metamorphosis that photography world has seen from the past two centuries or so.

He says “The presentation shall cover a brief introduction of analogue cameras, Films and chemicals that underwent drastic changes from good to better to best, to what it is now. The days of historical inventions of a Pinhole camera never had an atom of imagination that it will see a Mirrorless camera. The journey has taken centuries, even in the field of films and the developing process. Those born during the in between age of the analogue and mirrorless, are the lucky ones to have seen, felt and used these Vintage cameras and lenses. I have printed images on paper in the dark room and developed the unseen images on sensitive films in total darkness. These memorable journeys in the photography field are an eye opener for the present generation of Digital camera enthusiasts and a great Nostalgic journey for the old timers who still remember the Analogue process of Photography.

I will be showcasing a few vintage cameras, flashes, developing tanks, and of course digital and mirrorless cameras. I will also talk about the transition, along with cameras, with explanations of the trend setters.”
