March 19, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm UTC+5.5

YPS Saturday Meet - A Sneak Peak into Composite Photography by Arjun Haarith on 19 Mar at YPS Hall at 6:00 PM

YPS Saturday Meet | Mar 19, Sat | 6:00 PM IST | State Youth Centre

Composite art is all about creating magic. This magic transforms an image from zero to hero in a few hours. In this session, Mr. Arjun Haarith will walk us through the stages of pre-visual and planning, how to add a narrative, the rules, and how to blend composites . Perhaps the second part will be practical.

About the Speaker

Mr Arjun Haarith

Arjun Haarith Profile Picture

Mr. Arjun Haarith is from the beautiful city of Bangalore and currently working as a Sr. Lead Software Engineer at Adobe in the Lightroom team.

His father, Mr Gowrishankara is a multi-faceted personality who has been an immense inspiration. His father was working as a Senior Manager in HAL and is now retired and had various hobbies and Arjun always used to wonder how his father could concentrate on them while he was still working. His father inspired him to be a traveler and he has traveled to many places in India and Nepal with his father. His mother Mrs. Gayathri is a homemaker and a very good classical singer. This quality of hers attracted him towards Music and he plays Keyboard occasionally.

During his childhood (probably when he was around 7-8 years of age), he used to accompany his uncle Mr H Satish who is a very famous wildlife photographer (is currently the president of the prestigious club Youth Photographic Society) during his bird watching trips. This particular exposure ignited his liking towards Nature.

Under his guidance he started pursuing photography from 2006-07 and the journey is still continuing. Though he has tried his hands in various genres, it is Wildlife and Landscape photography that has had a special place in his heart. He has been trying Astro Photography recently, and that too has a special impact on him.

He has won more than 175 awards in both National and International Salons from over 30 countries with over 1200 acceptances and some of his images are published in  many journals, calendars and magazines.
