Underwater Macro - taking oceans to people’s heart

YPS Saturday Meet | Dec 10, Sat | 5.30 PM | S2 E8 | On-line Meet

As a nature photographer, Mr Kedar Bhide always felt the need to create advocates for a species or a landscape or an ecosystem through his photographs, in order to highlight the sustainability and survivability of such elements from anthropogenic pressures. He says “Many times what we miss out are the smaller things which are the building blocks for a whole package called NATURE.  Macro photography allows me to highlight these small and beautiful creatures with their amazing adaptability in their surroundings. When I spoke to some school kids about ‘Saving our oceans’ I found that their idea of the ocean is mostly limited to whales, dolphins, sharks, seals and other mega fauna of the oceans. These are small efforts to create a deeper understanding of our oceans through macro photography.”
