Dr Huilgol fell in love with Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve since his first ever wild tiger sighting there in 1992. Where else can one see these majestic animals against backdrops that include ancient forts, palaces, monuments and ruins that date back to over 1,000 years ago, not to mention lakes, streams and the Aravalli Hills that are more than 1.5 million years old! In his talk, he will present the history of the fort that dominates the landscape, the contribution of Machli, the legendary tigress and some of her iconic offsprings, about other tigers that have continued the saga and also share some images of birds and animals that share this reserve with tigers.
