Macro Fever at Arakere Forest

Macro fever continues to rage among the YPS participants ever since YPS held its first program in 2016 on Macro Photography facilitated by Goutham Ramesh on June 4th . Close on the heels of the session, YPS had its first Macro Workshop on the field at Lalbagh attended by 35 enthusiasts.

The Second Workshop on Macro Photography was held on July 3rd. This time the venue was Arakere Forest right in the middle of Bengaluru near JP Nagar. The session was facilitated by Satish, Goutham Ramesh, Murali Santhanam and Uday Hegde. We also had participation from experts like A K Raju adding energy to the already charged-up team. The number of participants increased to 43. Entering the forest after a breakfast at Adigas, the enthusiastic team did a complete census of all insects and butterflies at Arakere Forest.

There were lots of learning, exchange of ideas, appreciation of other’s work and respect for mother nature. Needless to say that all the bending and stooping to the levels of insects also added a few years of life to the participants.
