The presentation focuses on distinguishing among portrait, fashion, and glamour photography. Drawing on his extensive experience, he will explain the essential elements that go into creating a successful fashion photograph, while also sharing valuable insights into the art of lighting, posing, and expression. He will further guide participants on salon fashion photography and discuss several interesting myths associated with this genre

Born in Bolangir, Odisha, into a business family, B K Agarwal, a science graduate, developed an interest in photography at an early age. He later relocated to Visakhapatnam to expand the family business and joined the Coromandel Camera Club. This marked the beginning of his photographic journey. Since then, he has exhibited around 840 images at national and international salons across the world and has received more than 100 awards.

He became the youngest recipient of the prestigious Fellowship of the India International Photographic Council (FIIPC) in 1999 in the Fashion and Advertisement section. B K Agarwal has conducted numerous state-level and national-level photography workshops for both beginners and professionals. He has been a regular faculty member and salon judge and has also held positions with the State Academy of Photography and Kodak Limited.
