DṚṢṬI WINS TOP AWARD AT PSA NEWSLETTER CONTEST – 2025

Dṛṣṭi, the YPS Journal, wins the prestigious Arthur P Henricks Memorial Award, the topmost award at the PSA Newsletter Contest, for the 2nd time!

The Arthur P Henricks Memorial Award honors Photographic Society of America’s (PSA) President from 1975-79. This award is made to the publication with the highest score.

The Newsletter Contest draws many entries from photographic clubs across the globe. All entries are reviewed by a panel of three judges and the awards are determined based on criteria in three areas: Presentation, Production, and Content.

The Mar-Apr 2025 issue of Dṛṣṭi, which was submitted for this contest, was ranked #1 with Top Scores, bagging the Arthur P Henricks Memorial Award.

DṚṢṬI WINS FOR THE 4TH YEAR IN A ROW

The 2024 PSA Newsletter contest, conducted by Photographic Society of America (PSA) draws many entries from photographic clubs across the globe. All the entries are reviewed by a panel of three judges and the awards are determined based on criteria in three areas: Presentation, Production, and Content.

The Mar-Apr 2024 issue of Dṛṣṭi was submitted for this contest. The Cover Page by Sathya Vagale was titled ‘Wonder What The Future Holds For Me’

The Executive Committee congratulates Dṛṣṭi’s lead Mr Digwas Bellemane, the Editorial Team and Mr Sathya Vagale for his image on the cover page. It also congratulates and thanks all its contributors for making our journal win accolades at this contest.

Dṛṣṭi had won Honourable Mention awards for two consecutive years, 2021 and 2022 respectively and with the top award in 2023, Dṛṣṭi had set a Hat-trick.

Comment by a jury:

‘This is a tremendous magazine with so much information alongside the articles that covers so much within the issue’.

Out of the twenty-five entries in the magazine category, 22 were from the USA, 2 from India and 1 from the UK

31st Convention Of The Federation Of Indian Photography

31st FIP Convention 2024 Report

The 31st FIP Convention 2024 was held at Hotel Rio Meridian, in the Royal City of Mysuru from March 22 to March 25, 2024. In all 165 delegates attended the convention, 155 of whom stayed at the hotel and the remaining attended as ‘Day Delegates’. In total, there were around 200 people in attendance inclusive of guests and support. The three-day extravaganza was indeed packed with activities for the delegates.

ESFIPC DISTINCTION TO YPS

Distinguished Service To The Federation Of Indian Photography
by a Corporate Club Distinction

ESFIPC Distinction was awarded to Youth Photographic Society by the Federation of Indian Photography for having rendered distinguished services to FIP over many years.

The award was presented by Mr Adit Agarwala, President, FIP and Dr Barun K Sinha, Honorary Secretary General, FIP at the FIP AGM held on 23rd March, 2024 during the 31st FIP Convention in Mysuru and hosted by YPS.

The ESFIPC Distinction plaque was received by Mr Manju Vikas Sastry, President, YPS and Ms Prema Kakade, Secretary, YPS

YPS is proud to be the first recipient of this coveted distinction by a Corporate Club

The Mar-Apr ‘23 issue of Dṛṣṭi which was submitted for this contest, was ranked #1 with Top scores in all categories, bagging the Arthur P Henricks Jr Memorial Award, termed by PSA as ‘The Best of the Best’.
