The YPS Saturday Meet – Three States and Imagination

Solid, liquid and gas are the three states of matter. Glassware, water and smoke represent each of these states. Individually or in combination these three can be photographed in quite interesting ways. Add to this a pinch of imagination, a whole new world begins to emerge. This new world is filled with lots of fun, awe and a healthy dose of frustration too. The images you will get to see are Girish Mayachari’s experiments with glassware, water and smoke.
About the Speaker
Mr. Girish Mayachari, AFIAP, AFIP, cMoL
Fascination for photography started at a very young age for Mr. Girish Mayachari. However it was only after he started working that he took his first steps in the world of photography. Being an avid trekker and a nature lover gave him ample opportunities to take his camera along and shoot what caught his eye. His journey started with shooting landscapes, wildlife, birds and macro. As he keeps saying, he is the cat that got killed. Consequently it was not long before he was trying his hand at other genres of photography like portraiture, fashion, table top / still life, composites, astro-photography and a slew of other genres too (assuming there are more). Currently he experiments with light painting which is keeping him occupied. He hopes this journey of learning continues.
