Broadly speaking any photo taken at a public place may be called street photography. There are two schools of street photography. Purists: For them only candid photography is street photography. They even do not allow cropping the frame. The second is, Liberals: They permit a sort of instruction or direction to subject without changing the environment of the street. All genres of street photography disallow modeling photography. No manipulation is allowed in any genre as well.

The Annual General Meeting for the year 2019-20 was held at RBW Silver Jubilee Hall, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru on March 28, 2021. 49 Life Members and 21 Individual Members attended the AGM demonstrating solidarity, care and commitment for Youth Photographic Society. Members are the reason for the sustained growth of YPS over 50 years. The AGM 2020 is another demonstration of the strength of YPS membership.
